Uhurra To Protest In Downtown Tampa Monday Morning

Otis Anthony on his morning radio show on 88.5 informed listeners that a protest will be held at the HIllsborough county coroners office tomorrow morning at 8 am.

The reason: Martin Lee Anderson was beaten to death recently by law enforcement officers at a Florida boot camp. That was wrong. That was a crime.

Many of the Uherra movement in St. Pete will be attending.

So you know the matter is not racial, many of the callers to his program were white and said they will attend.

Mr. Anthony is a controversial but provocative moderator. I often disagree with him but the essence of freedom allows for that I believe.

What it should not allow is our citizens being abused and beaten to death when they are in the states care.

I hope something will become of this. We have given the police guns and badges, I hope we have not given them the right to just kill us.

Incarceration should not be the Paul Newman movie Cool Hand Luke.

It's funny, Tim, because you talk about how conservative you are yet your politics seem to be so progressive :-) I usually agree with your points.

Also, I see cabs all the time and look to see if the driver is you, but it never is :-/
