Blogger Meeting A Huge Success!
The Historical meeting was a huge success last night. I finally got to meet Tommy Duncan and the guys from Sticks of Fire. Here is a shot of Joel and Tim and Taxi Tim. We hung out for 2 hours plus at Hawks grill and sports bar and most people seemed to have a good time. Even though nobody really new anyone, it was as if we did because we have been reading each others blogs for a long time.
The Tampa Tribune was there and I believe they are going to do a story on us. The lady interviewed me and asked me all about my blog and the reasons I got into it. She took a bunch of notes, so I hope the article she does is big enough that people will see it. I also saw her talking to Tommy Duncan at great length. Her name
was Sarah Hoye, she is a staff writer for the Trib shoye@tampatrib.com A very nice lady who really seemed to enjoy what she was doing. It looks like the media has now discovered us. Here is a photo of Tommy thinking hard about his answer to the nice lady from the trib.
The photographer from the Trib was great. He has some awesome equipment that I wished I had. The food was good and the beer was cold and I highly recommend Hawks as a eatery and Sports Bar.
If you go to this link at Taxi Shots you will see a bunch of photos I took of the Blogger Meet-up and click each thumb for a larger size.
I believe I may of missed someone who was very charming and gracious to all of the bloggers. It seems the beautiful Catherine
Durkin Robinson was overlooked by my camera(you can see her small image in the background of the photo on the left with the Guinness in her hand). That was not by design. Photographing beautifull women is what I do for a hobby/profession. It was an oversight. I did enlarge the image from the background. I also sent the image over the internet to a lab in London that I use that does photo enhancement. This is not cheap. They were able to do what the Kodak lab could do and add white to the eyes and gloss to the lips and detail to a blown up image lacking resalution. How could I have missed her. Sorry, my bad.

Thanks for the write-up and for posting the pics. It was nice to finally meet you in person. I'm looking forward to the next get-together!

Wow it worked that time, I am looking forward to the article in the trib, do you know if that woman that got hit by the hit and run was a local? I am talking about the accident on Cleveland and Moody this morning.
