AIRPORT PARKERS AND KATHY'S SHUTTLE VAN
I see Kathy has gone high tech. Last year her vans had magnetic signs on them, now, she has painted vehicles. Kathy represents what is wrong with the transportation industry in Tampa. Let me explain.
I picked up this couple this morning at around 4 am. They wanted me to meet them in an office parking lot. Yes! They were driving to the office to park their car so they could pay me ten bucks to take them to the airport. They were late for the "time-call" as these people usually are. Only professional drives can estimate driving time, not amateurs.
My gripe is that is an awful lot of work to go thru just to screw a cab drive out of a good fair. What Kathy does is just as bad.
She picks people up in south county, runs them around to pick up other people which delays their arrival and basically charges them the same rate that we do for "curb to curb" service. The smucks never know they are being ripped off and the cab commissioner allows all of this to happen.
HCPTC makes a pretense that the only thing they are concerned about is CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONVENIENCE. If that were true they would never allow this bull shit to continue.
OH, OBAMA....keep pressing Hillary...her and her cum-stained husband are only about tactics...not
what is right for this country. What is right for this country is we don't go down the road of divisiveness that the Clinton's gave us. The REAGAN YEARS were GREAT YEARS. Don't let the Clinton's tell you otherwise.

Good show Tom, zak is also correct in both comments, Kathy's has been in business a long time, but before they had big Lincoln's and Caddy's. Now with the 7 passanger van's is what Tim may be referring to.

The PTC's job is the enforcement of the Special Act ch2001-299 Laws of Florida, nothing more and nothing less. The PTC's job is not protecting the wallets of the taxicab cartel through the elimination of, or restricting competition at the "Regional Interstate Transportation Hubs".
Cabbies should not expect much business protectionism from the PTC in the near future as they have a full plate now trying to figure out how they are going to satisfy the transportation requirements of the NFL for the 2009 Super Bowl without violating State Law.

Larry I agree with you on Bay Shuttle (but the way they did pick the right initials) and on Tim's run for Congress but that's it
While I plan to vote for Mc Cain I don't believe if a candidates been in the military has much to do with his ability to run this country.
Oops your right Larry look at the shit load of trouble this country is in now because GW didn't show up for the Texas Air National Guard.
All jokes aside I get lots of e-mails on Obama and while I don't think all are false I do think 90%+ are, and all this just because he is black.
Over the years we have been sold a bill of goods by politicians, and when elected what did any of them do for us...not much if anything. Tom

And those damn Greyhound buses too, taking people from New York to Florida. That's my fare!

Kathy's is based in Spring Hill (note the 352 area code), has been in business for many years & never had magnetic signs. They provide door-to-door, share-a-ride transportation between TIA & Hernando County. Me thinks you are talking through your ass.

There is no difference in Kathy's and Bay Shuttle. I am not driving anymore as you know but I am still against have those two take money out of all of the cabbie's pocket. What happened to Fred Thompson and your running for cogress. Or is that like other things, get started and then nothing. Has Ob-- been in the military, like Mc Cain. I am sorry but if he is elected president this country is in trouble.
