This is such a senseless loss. Two Tampa police officers were murdered because a guy had a warrant for a bad check in Jacksonville Florida. What was Dontae Morris so afraid of? He has been arrested 41 times in his brief 24 years on earth. Certainly the system is a joke and he would not remain in jail. I have no idea why he needed to kill. Now, the cops will either kill him or he will get the death penalty.
Also, Officer Jeff Kocab’s wife gave birth today to their first child. She was due next week, but went into labor within hours of her husband’s murder. For her, today is bittersweet. The birth of her first child and the loss of her husband. My heart goes out to the families of both victims. Maybe justice be served.
When Mr. Morris is captured we should have a "blow torch' party. Let people run a lit blow torch all over his body before a red hot pipe is stuck up his ass until smoke comes out his mouth, then hang him upside down, douse him with gasoline and light him on fire before tossing him into a wood chipper and let dogs piss on what comes out, take the remains mix it with dog food and feed it to alligators. Its time to get medieval on these scum.
People all over the state of Florida have reported seeing monsters. Every county in the sunshine state has a database of sightings of what is commonly called the ‘’skunk ape.’
Is the monster real? Is it just folk lore of ancient Indians? Possible, but did you know there have been recent sightings in urban areas including one near downtown Tampa.
A worker getting off late in downtown Tampa saw a bipedal animal swimming under the Kennedy Bridge. The creatures body was covered with hair and he was eating crabs on the rocks below. When the man got close, the animal swam off at a very high rate of speed north up the Hillsborough River. The person who reported this said he went back the next day and saw crab shells on the rocks below. Interesting.
In the last year, I have been searching the swampy lowlands of central Florida and the Green Swamp. I have found footprints, caught fleeting images on video, and recorded strange howls at night that do not match any classified animal So I thought I would investigate this sighting.
WhenThey find the killers of the two Tampa police officers I bet you $100 that they have arrest records longer than your arm. I also bet you that they are the product of ADC, welfare, foodstamps, the projects and so forth. I just got a call, so I must run. If you are looking for a reason why these officers are dead, look no further then the Democrat Party, open ended welfare, and liberal judges.
I don't know why so many drivers work the Hyde Park taxi stand. I guess it is easy for new drivers to be close to downtown Tampa. Sampson and Nick are gone, but Bill, Scott still sit on it like they were hatching an egg while they wait for their $5 fares. With time all things change, and so has Hyde Park. One of the laws of nature is'adapt or perish.' Bet you can't tell all the 21 guys that.

The Tampa police know that the only day of the week that you can speed on Dale Mabry is on Sunday. That is why they set up a speed trap north of Mlk Just south of Hillsborough. Now this poor guy just because he was up early Sunday will now have to hire Ty Trayner or pay the fine or go to school. Oil is now destroying the coastline of Florida on Pensacola Beach. I am really glad that we have people in charge that can take care of this. Maybe they can rescue the dead sea turtle that you can see in this video. The oil is still spewing out of the hole on the Gulf Of Mexico Sea Floor with no end in sight. We are screwed. St. Petersburg, in my opinion, has illegally outlawed free speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of expression, in short, civil liberties by banning guys from standing on street corners 'flying a sign.' This is a great country we live in. At least it used to be. St. Pete does not think so. There is, however, a real danger to doing this. Let me explain.
In this great country a person with ambition and skill can rise as far as his dreams will take him. But what if his dreams are not to be an astronaut or a CEO or a doctor, or whatever people think you should be. Hell, what if he wants to be A TAXI DRIVER. What if he just wants to 'hang out' and drink beer with his buddies and go no further than that. In this country that should be his God given right. Sadly, people don't think so.

The summer program of running the blind kids for the transitional program has begun. I am very glad to be part of this because it can cover your lease to the cab company each day plus more. It is a five week program that teaches these young adults to find work and perform basic job skills. The kids are cool...one girl is a computer and Star Trek nerd..this one black guy does the best Elvis ypou ever heard and every country song ever recorded. Now how cool is that? I
surly makes the day more fun.
I got a ride down south and took advantage of that to check out Little Manatee River State Park. There is a network of hiking trails that span the entire park. Most of them are horse trails that you can spot form the main road that circles thru the park. I found a nice one that traversed a sand pine and palmetto area. I parked the taxi on the side of the road and was on my way.
It is very hot right now in Florida and the heat was getting to me. I'm glad some clouds rolled in that lowered the temperature somewhat. Many of these trails criss cross each other, and even with the trail map they give you, getting lost is easy.
The trail I was on had a sign about a lake up ahead. I never found the lake, but I did get a nice view of the sand scrub and pine trees. I was getting tired so I headed back...It is very hot with high humidity and you must bring lots of water or sports drink with you. I always start cramping when I need water. Sometimes its just nice to feel and hear the solitude of the woods. There is something very peaceful about doing this. It helps calm me down.
The park is one of Florida's best kept secrets. The Little Manatee River is one of the most scenic in the State. Canoe rentals are availbe and there is no better way to spend several hours than an easy canoe trip to the bay and back. The park also has some great camping areas. What I liked about it was the privacy you have at each site. The trees are thick enough that you cannot see the campers that are next to you. So you can chill out at your campfire at night and not have to look at RV's and strangers.
Things seem to be a little better than they have been (knock on a forest of trees!). I take that back - they are a billion times better than they were in the summer of 2008 when the recession was nearing its bottom propelling Obama into the White House. I mean that.
2008-2009 are what I call the 'lost years.' Other than being alive and sucking air, that is all I can say about them. Things seem to be stabilizing a bit. Now, there is something we all need to worry about. OIL.
The only thing that could sink the Obama Presidency would be something unexpected that he would be unprepared for would come along. It has. It has the potential to wipe out the entire economy of the Gulf region and leave us in a hopeless situation. We need leadership now like we did during the Iran hostage crisis during the Jimmy Carter years. Sadly, we are lacking that.
If you look over at my flash poll at the top of the right sidebar you will see Dick Cheney is leading by a mile in who people would want as President during this crisis. Unfortunately, Obama is in his second year as President and people seem to lack major confidence in his ability to lead.

Everyone that lives on the Gulf Coast of the United States will have their lives changed in ways that we can only imagine now. I live on the west coat of Florida and work in the tourist industry - I drive a taxi cab. Tourism is very important to me. People come down for our beaches, golf courses, and great defense (Bucs). If the white sugar sand of the gulf becomes black sludge, kiss it goodbye. What is sad is that this could of been over by now if we had a President that had actually had a job before he took the highest office in the land. Did you hear him last night? This guy can hardly speak without a teleprompter in front of him. REALITY IS WHAT YOU WILL SEE BELOW.

Shrimp boat were out in the Gulf Of Mexico trying to bring in a catch. They had no choice. This is shrimp season and their families are depending on them.

On day 10 Obama met with "God" himself Bono of U2 in the White House. I guess this man has all the answers. I would have been meeting with engineers and scientist...but what do I know? I am just a taxi cab driver.
Many ships are now dumping at sea to save cost. I was out at one of our local beaches Sunday and the stink was beyond belief. They say there is no oil here, but where did this shit come from? What is happening to our world right under our eyes? See this video I put on YouTube.
Florida Governor Charlie Crist seems to like women...at least their rear ends. This photo was taken yesterday as Crist was in Miami checking out the oil spill from the Atlantic side. Charlie, the oil is in the Gulf. Anyway, this was a good photo opportunity for the Governor to show that he likes girls.
If you are not from Florida, there have been rumors floating around for decades about the sexual orientation of Charlie Crist. There was even this photo that surfaced a few years ago that shows Charlie when he was a younger man at a gay party (he is the one in the sailor hat looking so Village People).
I don't care. Crist is the only politician that I have ever donated money to, and I would do it again. This guy really knows how the game is played, and he is good for Florida.
We have a real problem down in Florida and that is the BP oil spill that just keeps leaking tons of oil out of the bottom of the Gulf with no end in sight (not the end Gov Crist is looking at). The potential is that we will lose our way of life from something that could have been stopped early on in this disaster.
It is to bad we have an amateur as President who has no clue about crisis management. Have Obama drive a cab for a week, and try to pay lease, and balance time with sleep, and try to make a little money for himself. I don't think this guy has ever come close to doing anything like that.
I just hope the new President in 2013 can get us out of this jam. Hay, it just might be Charlie - the guy in the sailor hat!

I only know American sports. And in our culture shit happens. You have 'go to' guys that you depend on. If they don't perform on any given night, so be it. When you are the manager of a football team and days before a World Cup match you don't know who your starting goalie will be, then there must be flaws in all your goalies. The fact is that Rob Green was one of the best out of the Premiere league. So why the hesitation by the manager? Green must be VERY good or he would not have been in the line up. I would not expect another incident.
American football or soccer has come a long way. Way to go guys. Mr. Green - that was just the breaks of that game. Sorry, but we will take it.
In our sports we have batters that strike out...kickers that miss easy goals...quarterbacks that miss wide open receivers...basketball players that miss easy shots...things happen. England may still win this tournament, but the world is on notice that the USA can dominate anything we want to. Sorry if that bothers you.
Chris Hovan is a big man and he has a new job. He has played 10 years in the NFL (5 for Minnesota and 5 for Tampa Bay) and is tough as nails. He was let go by Tampa when the Bucs went to a youth movement at defensive tackle by selecting Gerald McCoy from OU and Brian Price from UCLA as their first two picks in the 2010 NFL draft. Hovan was expendable, and he knew it.
One door closed and another one opened in St. Louis. The Rams are becoming stacked on the defensive line and the buccaneers will face them early in the season. Hovan had a lot of heart when he played for us...you can only wish him well in his new situation.
The Buccaneers have a track record of these kind of things coming back to haunt them. Discarded players, for some reason, seem to play well for other teams. Tampa Bay has at least three quarterbacks that have gone on and won Super Bowls for other teams. Their system seems to develop players well. Unfortunately, their management cannot always recognize that.
Nancy the "Fabulous Sports Babe" works for 1040 ESPN Sports Radio in Tampa Bay. She once had a nationally syndicated talk radio show back in the '90's. She has returned to the Tampa area and does the 12 noon to 3 spot. I liked it better when she was on at nine in the morning because I could have breakfast with her live show..,."Breakfast with the babe." Now its..."Lunch with the babe." You can see how hard she is working.

How could Barack Obama have anything to do with the greatest ecological disaster in the history of the United States? Everyone knows that George Bush is the cause of this. I suggest someone call the Bush house and awaken him from his nap, and tell him he must do something to stop this...the same goes for the Middle East, Arizona, Korea, Europe, the economy and so forth. If you go downtown on the weekends to party, you may have run into the guy above. His name is Tim Ireland. He runs a "free Cab" in Tampa Florida. The only question is - Why?
I don't know what you do for a living but if someone came along and told your boss they would do it for free, you might have a problem with that. If this person was just willing to work for tips when you have a mortgage and a family and responsibilities, you would actually be pissed. Many cab drivers in Tampa are.
The Hillsborough County Transportation Commission believes these free taxi cabs need to be taken off the streets. They really have never heard of such a thing. Who has? Working for free. Who is this Tim Ireland?
Tim Ireland of the Green free taxi is a scab. In this time of economic downturn, there is not enough business to support the taxi drivers that have been doing this for years, if not, decades. When somebody comes along and finds bums like Ireland to undercut taxi cabs (by law we must charge $2.25 a mile) He can give them a free ride. Why? Is he that desperate? How much can he make doing this? Most grown men would not do what this little, little, boy does. I guess he lives with his mommy and daddy. How else could he do this. He needs to go back to HCC with the rest of his nerdy friends and leave men alone who take the transportation business seriously.
If you want to be a taxi cab driver in Tampa Florida, United Cab is the finest cab company in Tampa. It is very good for new drivers because of the training program, scaled leases, voice radio dispatch which can help a new driver, and a stand system that puts you in social contact with other drivers who can offer advice. Be a real cab driver. You just need to get a 'hack' permit from the HCPTC and be cleared thru insurance, and you are on your way. Just don't let the free guys take your business from you.
